Pressure Cooking
4 Games. 1 Custom Engine. 0 Nutritional Value.
In January, we had a plan for the new year. It was simple. “Let’s make some simple one-page games,” we said. “It will take very little time,” we lied to ourselves.
Naturally, we were profoundly wrong.
Instead of being responsible people and doing it the easy way, we built a custom gaming engine from scratch, picked a theme, junk food, and spent hours building up four distinct games into one zany, teeth-rotting zine.
We called it PRESSURE COOKING. And because we like you, we are serving it up for free.
The Menu
Powered by the Pressure12 Engine, this collection twists the childish candor of sweets and pizzas into a chaotic struggle for survival.
Here is what you’ll find inside the box:
Cookie Crime Time: You are one of Lord Biscottazzo’s elite gingerbread commandos. Do wet work for a Cookie Dictatorship, don’t ask questions, and try not to crumble under pressure with your comrades and a GM.
Candies’ Crash: A GM-less analogical version of a kart racing videogame, the plumbing kind. Thankfully, we’re better than others at dodging lawsuits. Race through the flavorful and utterly terrifying Kingdom of Delights and hope a candy bomb of one of your competitors doesn’t blow you up.
Pizza Guy Against Darkness: A solo adventure where you have a bicycle, a pizza that must stay warm, and a city full of non-Euclidean horrors trying to make your life miserable. Experience the typical rider experience in a gig economy from the comfort of your home. The objective is to deliver the pizza while remaining only moderately mad.
Willie Stonka’s Sweetest Nightmares: A solo journaling survival game where you play as a group of Gummy Teddy Bears in a factory that runs on black magic and gelatin. Can your squad survive the Sweetest Night and its delicious horror?
Playable by Everybody, Written by Adults
Thanks to a streamlined system and the short session duration, every game in this collection is designed to be accessible even to very young players.
However, that doesn’t mean this is only for kids. These games were written by the same people who brought you a game about revolution, an OSR featuring a Cannibal God, and a title exploring generational trauma and the struggle between societal expectations and one’s true nature. I mean, we’re broken people, and it’s kinda hilarious that we designed games about sweets and pizza of all things.
Powered by Pressure12
Pressure12 is a TTRPG engine designed to power one-page RPGs and solo games for fast-paced sessions where fiction is always front and center, and the stakes rise with every dice roll. Pressure12 uses only a handful of twelve-sided dice to ensure consistency and to support the intense gameplay experiences it’s built for.
The name “Pressure” comes from its core mechanic: the more you roll (and fail), the more physical or mental stress you accumulate—until your character is defeated.
