Eighties San Francisco. Pillars of fluorescent light paint shadows as dark as deepest night. None knows this better than those plagued by the Gash: beyond the Veil, the Radio croaks out more than happy tunes, and when the Fog rises, another city appears to the eyes of those unfortunate enough to be able to see it. A city made of dreams, nightmares, and delirium... Because not a lot of people remember that San Francisco used to be called something else: Yerba Buena, the “good grass”. And though time slowly erases everything, Yerba Mala still lurks, waiting to teach you what filth the much-vaunted Eighties’ dreams of wealth and prosperity are actually made of.
Mala Yerba is a sprawling conglomerate of interconnected Everwhithers superimposed onto the city of San Francisco. Its borders are cloaked in a thick Fog, capable of erasing the sense of self of those who wander too far inside its banks.

The World of Myth can be many things for Epigoni. A dangerous place, for sure, but also an adventurous and stimulating one, where challenges represent a way to grow and discover something about yourself. That is, unless you get lost in the thick fogs of Mala Yerba, where the darkest corners of human misery meet and clash, tearing flesh and shattering psyches, until all that remains of the forced visitors is dark dust like coal.
Mala Yerba is the new Vision for Epigoni Essential, a horror setting with a Silent Hill flavor where inner nightmares become flesh and blood on the foggy streets of an 80s San Francisco, contorted by dark delusions and abominable secrets.
You will be challenged by monsters that are made of the worst part of humanity, naked of all pretenses and hypocrisies. And you’ll see that you can survive the slaughter, sure, but bad weeds never die.
